Safety and music during Covid

Hello all! We hope you are staying healthy and well during these challenging times.

We have been doing extra gardening, cooking, and house projects…all home-bound activities during the past months and are grateful to have been able to continue working and staying healthy.

With Maine recently reopening and restaurants and venues using safety precautions, Truth About Daisies is excited to be able to keep many of our outdoor shows that are still scheduled for the summer. Though wearing a mask while singing is not feasible, we feel that playing outside with plenty of space between band and audience is reasonably safe, and the places where we’re performing all have their own health protocols in place.

It was so nourishing and wonderful for us to reconnect as a band a few weeks ago and we can’t wait to see you all out and about—at 6 feet distance of course! :)

Please check out our schedule of shows and we hope to see you soon!

1 Year Since Pip & Aaron joined the band

Early 2017: In our third band configuration in 14 years our longtime bass player Ronda Dale went off to pursue her own many wonderful musical collaborations and performances. We wish her love and all the best!

The band's future was uncertain until bass player Pip Walter and drummer Aaron Cloutier stepped into the mix. They are now fully in the pocket and rarin' to play whenever and whatever, and Truth About Daisies rides again!

Sept 2016 CD Release Party - Success!

The "Love This Life" CD release party last September at One Longfellow Square was a night to remember!  We had 3 dynamite openers--Liam Swift, Dave Grant, and Dan Sonenberg--followed by many Truth About Daisies alumni joining us on stage.

Actor Paul Haley portrayed "Ed" as the song was performed; Dan Sonenberg played military snare from the balcony at the conclusion of "Fare Thee Well." Deb Grant and Elizabeth Burd each joined us on stage with their wonderful vocals. Joe Muir laid it down on the lap steel on several songs. Scott Flanders wailed on the harp. Dan also drummed on a few up beat numbers. And Jeff Edelstein tickled the ivories on "Reggae Poem." The place was jammed and the crowd roared their approval. A good time was had by all.
